Final-Li Done!

4. How do the things you read influence what you write or how you write it?

I think that the thing I read influence what I write very much. Like if I read about something sad it changes the mood of everything and makes me want to write about something sad too. I think that what ever happens in my life influences what I write even more. Like for the iTouch incident. I was in sure a bad mood when I lost my iTouch and so that blog post also looked like crap. So I guess you can say when you have a crap time, you get a crap post. Now that I have looked back at my work it seems like these things are kind of true. There are so much grammatical errors in that post.

For Lit Circle books, reading influences what I write sometimes. I say sometimes because if the book is about something fake I usually don't take it seriously. However if the book is like the War of the Worlds, I tend to talk about the government. I don't try to but I do get influenced by things that spark my interest. I think that the things I read that will influence what I write is books that are true and that I am interested in.

I think that reading doesn't change what I write but what events happen in my life changes it. I don't really think that it will affect how I write it. I usually tell my story rather than explain it with great details. I think that is a strong or weak point in my write depending on how you look at it. I actually see my writing as a story and I have to tell it. Things that happen in my life affects the story but not the way I am telling the story.

7. What have you learned from your struggles with writer's block? Why do you tend to get stuck? How do you tend to get unstuck? Notice any patterns?

Well, I tend to get stuck when I feel like I HAVE to do it as if it was an assignment. And yes, it is an assignment but I feel like when I am forced to do something like a normal blog post I seem to always get writer's block. Getting writer's block is kind of strange to me because when I do end up typing something it is usually some what longer than what I except. When I get writer's block I usually just start typing up random things but then in the end I try to connect it. I also try to make it sound like I am actually talking to the readers face to face.

I noticed that if I tried to forcefully do the blog assignments I come up with crap work. However, when I just start typing randomly like talk about my day the blog post becomes a lot better. It also makes my blog look like a journal for my life. I also like talking about my interest like track. Talking about something I know very well is one of my strong points because I can just go on and on about it.

I also think that writer's block comes with procrastination. When I procrastinate I usually can't think of anything to write about. The thing that is really weird is that when I am SUPER focused in wanting to finish up my blog I get writer's block. So writing for me is probably when I am focused and not forced. I also try to make my blog post sound like I am just speaking normal to the audience. In conclusion, I think that the only way I can get out of writer's block is just to randomly talk about things that happen in my life.

8. How do you like having a blog? How has blogging changed the way you write, the way you think, or the way you think about writing?
Has blogging had any other effects on your life beyond strictly your "school life"? If so, explain.
For the second semester only: Do you plan on continuing to publish writing on your blog this summer, next year, or beyond? If so, what are your writing goals and how will you use your blog in the future?
Blogging has change the way I write because now I express myself more than I use to. Blogging helps me vent out the things that are happening in my life whether it is good or bad. I think that having a blog is helpful to just write about what happens and writing it is only the half of it. When you look back at all your post you can remember all the things that have happen in your life so you can learn from mistakes and not make them again. Again, blogging has made me put more feeling into my writing. Even though sometimes I have to express myself with curse words, I still try to express my feelings into words. It is nice to write things up even if no one reads it because you are the only that has to read it. Reading happy post when you are feeling a little down makes you feel a lot better too.

In the beginning of the year I thought that I would post posts about the environment. My blog's name is "forthehomework" but now it shouldn't be because I use it for something much greater. It is my first blogging account.

I will continue to keep blogging but on another website. So you can come check out my tumblr. I think that having blog is good because your friends can read what you write. You can also stay connected with one another. You can express what you feel into words and the more writing the better. The more you do it you will not only get better at writing but you will get better in expressing yourself and how you feel on the inside.

I would also like to thank Mr.Sutherland for introducing me to blogging. I think it has change my life by expressing myself in words. I can also get better in writing by doing so. I mean if I were to sit in class and write essays all day and just stopping during the summer I don't think I would improve in my writing at all. But now that I have a blog I don't have to just stop writing. I can express myself through words instead of bottle everything up. Just a little response to your letter! Thanks Mr.Sutherland. Even though I didn't do that well this quarter I learned a lot about my self this year. Like the little details of my life and what I get mad over. Thanks for everything!

Monthly Review : The War Of The Worlds

The science fiction novel "The War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells is a third person story that talks about Martians taking over Earth. There are lots of fighting and bloodshed making this story kind of bad and violent. I suggest that if you don't like a killing story this isn't a story for you. However this book is very interest because it paints a picture of how life MIGHT turn out if a thing like this were to happen.

1. What was the author's purpose(s) in writing this book, and how can you tell? How well was this purpose achieved?

To me, I think that the purpose of writing this book is to introduce to the audience that there might be Martians outside of the world we live in. This book is to take a step back from what and where you live in in life. Often times people forget about there imagination. "The War of the Worlds" was written in 1898. During this time most of the people living on Earth were discovering new things. Some of these things are like cars and technological things. Well this so happens to be the time where imagination sprung about. People where trying to make invisible objects and they were arguing over existence of mythical creatures.

However above all of those things were Aliens, Martians, and UFOs. This is the time where people argued over it whether they had seen it or what not. H.G. Wells wrote this book to give an over view about the things that might happen IF Martians do exist and IF they would come and invade Earth. I think that Wells did a good job painting out the picture of what it would be like but I think he forgot one thing about the Martians. What if they are really stronger than what he tells? I am sure that the audience that Wells was trying to write to got surprised in thinking what a Martian would be and what it would do. I think that Wells practically made a the first Stereotype about Martians. We don't actually know for sure that Martians do want to invade Earth or if they are plotting it. Heck they can already be on Earth without us knowing. So why haven't they contacted us? They probably might have too. This is where the government comes in. The government might have already made contain with aliens and of course we would be the last ones to know of it.

2. For what audience(s) is this book intended, and how can you tell? (In other words, for whom would you recommend this book?)

This book is recommended for young readers that want to read about science fiction. This book is very interesting and I think that they want would want to read it because of the things that happen outside of the world. Things that they wouldn't imagine happening is probably happening under secret facilities. I can tell that this book is for young children to adult because this story is some what scary if you think about it. Some of thing maybe real and knowing is only part of it. Seeing that Martians and aliens are real is even scarier.

There are some scenes where people die because of Heat-Rays or Black Smoke. There is the violent side to it while Wells adds imagination to it.

An almost noiseless and blinding flash of light, and a man fell headlong and lay still; and as the unseen shaft of heat passed over them, pine burst into fire, and every dry furze bush became with one dull thud a mass of flames.

This quote shows the detailed killing with a Heat Ray from the Martians. To some audience this would be pretty scary, in fact I myself think that this creepy. This is a real eye opener because there might be Martians outside of the world we live in. More than likely they might have the technology to do these kind of things. But then again that is just your imagination going crazy.

3. What are the weaknesses of this book, in your opinion?

I think that this book was pretty good in general however there were a few things that I didn't understand. H.G. Wells's writings are very complicating because it is the writing styles that is written back then. What I mean by complicating is that he uses interesting detail into most of his writings. I think this is my first third person story. I really liked it because there was a lot more talking and description in every event that happened.

Some weakness are getting attention. I don't know why but I had lost my attention reading it. So I don't know why but I felt that there were some very boring parts to the book and that just made me want to skip it. All there was in the some of the events that happen was all detail. Like during the actions scenes where the Martians were either shooting there heat rays or using there black smoke.

In general, I liked the book. There were lots of eye openers to all the things around me. This book in fact made me more interested in things outside of space. Martians are probably the number one thing I want to know if it is real or not. I want to know because if Martians are real then everything we knew about politics and religion is all lies. I say this because we wasted 2000 years fighting each other when in reality we should unite together. Religion is all a lie because there was nothing in the Bible or the Quran that saids anything about aliens and Martians.

We would have to rethink about what we have been doing these past 2000 years and if we had gotten anywhere. Martians could already be on Earth! Cough Cough Area 51! I think that the people that have lied to us the most is not religion or politics but is our own government. They are doing experiments and maybe even have already contacted with aliens or Martians. But then again you can just use your imagination about anything.

School + Life Rant Part Two

I am so behind in English. I want to slap myself. Life is a mess for me right now. I don't even remember if I did a blog or not. So I am just going to do another one anyways and on the plus side there are lots of things I want to write about right now.

School is almost to an end and I am just about to fall apart. There are so much things to keep track of. There are going to be lots of end of the year projects, parties, assignments, and finals. I can't even explain to you how far behind I am in English. I haven't posted any of my Lit Circle Readings even though I have every thing in front of me. It seems like I never have enough time.

Blogging right now for me does not seem like a homework anymore. It seems like something I just do to vent. Its nice to talk about your life even though no one may read it. Just expressing yourself feels really good.

Track has come to an end for me. I don't know what I will do without track now. I don't know what I will do everyday after school. I was basically time consumed from track but now since it is over I don't know what to do. One thing I am definitely going to do is get back on schedule. I was always sad and tired of track but once it is over. I'm still sad. It is like on of those things where you have but you don't cherish and once you have lost it you know how important to you it really is.

Even though track has made me sad, it has lots of up side too. I have PR multiple times. PR means that I break my personal record. I specialize in the 400 meter race. I started at 57.50 seconds or so. Now I have ended it at 52.88. This is one amazing accomplishment. I basically gotten faster by 5 seconds. Now I have to get faster by 3 or 4 seconds to be on the SCHOOL record. Right now I run the fastest 400 on the team so I am really happy. I also have 2 more years left so I am dreaming big!

Well I hope I get everything together this is going to be one heck of a hard week. Oh yeah. It's my brother's birthday today. He is now 18 years old. Just thinking about it make my stomach hurt. In two years from now I'm going to be 18 and I will pursuit in my own career and find what I want to do. Assuming that global warming doesn't take over the world and melt the polar ice caps and make the "2012 epidemic" real. Also assuming that that Measure E gets passed and I get a better chance in getting into a good college that can specialize in green technology. Green and environmental engineering is the way to go!

Rules of Love

1. What rules dictate the behavior of young men and women in relationships today?
Some of the rules that dictate the behavior of dating is actually going out to dates. These things also include making the opposite gender happy. The males are usually the first one to make the move. However, things have sort of change but still. Also the males are the ones that have to be the bigger person sometimes in order to make the relationship work.
The environment in where you live also decides the rules because if you live in a ghetto neighborhood, you either be the controlled or the one controlling.

2. Name a situation in which the rules have clearly been violated. In other words, what are things "nice girls" just don't do? What are things "nice guys" just don't do?
"nice girls" don't back stack or cheat and neither does "nice boys". If these rules are violated they are just not the same. So they wouldn't be called the the "nice" person.

3. What are the possible consequences for breaking these rules?
More than likely you will be dumped. The other gender will get mad and will except you to make it up to him or her depending on if you want it to work. Bringing flowers or doing a favor for him or her. Making things up is usually done. Most of the time the males have to do it. The reason for this is because its just one of the "rules". It is also enforced through TV, dramas, and movies. All of these shows show how the male has to seek out the girl and present her something very emotional and romantic. Most the time no a days males don't really do that. Heck! So people danced on their wedding. So that shows you how much change is already taking affect.

4. Where do these rules come from? Who "invented" them and who enforces them?
These rules were invented by generations of stereotypes and criticism. It was also created from popular people who think what should and should not be done. People that follow this just wants to do what "cool" people do. Thus creating a change and a trend. This is also how fashion is made every year. Things change according to what seems to be in "style".

School Rant Part One

School is almost over for me however, it seems like my work has doubled even though it is coming to a stop. I think that I have more homework at the end of school than the middle or beginning. I have so much things to worry about right now my head is about to explode. I have English assignments on top of English assignments, late work, 2 math projects, 2 chemistry projects, 2 history projects, 1 formal debate, 4.5 hour test, track meets after track meets, and formal debates and parties.

As you can see my life is about to explode! Most of these things are probably either going to be late or going to be bad work. I dislike the fact that when you come home from school you can't really focus and start getting the ball rolling until about 2 hours later. Or that is just probably me. I think the computer is a major distract in my life. I wish I could unplug and finish all of these assignments in lighting speed with 100% effort.

Sometimes I wonder if it is really worth going through all this stuff to only end up finding your self doing a job that requires nothing to what you have learn. Some things that I have been thinking about is 2012. If it happens, does that mean that I have wasted all my life trying to get a good education when in reality I'm not that smart. Truth be told I am a pretty average guy and I think its much wiser for me to just a job where I can just learn from there. I am a very hard worker too.

Another BIG thing that really pissed me off this weekend was the Measure E. I am all for it but a lot of people aren't. So I had to go canvasing which is knocking door to door talking to they about Measure E and what they think about it. Most people weren't home but some people were furiously against it. The people that handed me all the voting information showed me a chart of this that will happen if this Measure does not get passed. Some of these things are : making Encinal a Middle school, Lincoln middle a Elementary school, closing Chipmen, Wood, Otis, and a lot of other small elementary. They are also closing Island too.

SO 2012 looks VERY bright for me don't you think? They plan this out so it will probably be in effect by 2012. Some Senior year I am going to have. There's also going to be a lot of grade changes. Alameda High will have 2000+ students grades 10 - 12 only. Then everything else gets pushed forward one grade. Alameda WILL be in chaos!!!!!!!!!!

My Life and Future Plans

The school year is ending soon. I feel that this year went by really quick. In a blink of an eye we will soon go to college. Recalling back to this school year there were lots of things that were good and bad that happened to me. So left memories and some left scars. Some of the major events that happen this year was the iTouch incident. Some other major things that happen this year was running track. I beat my personal record several times. I also sort of feel like I haven't accomplished anything big yet because college is right around the corner and I want to do something that looks great on my resume. So my parents, like every parent, wants me to go to a good college so they decided to send me to a SAT prep class.

At first I didn't really stress about it. However, I went there and took a practice test I panic so much. I didn't know a lot of the problems there and the only thing I understand was the math and that is because my math was considered above average so I didn't really sweat about it math as much. But reading and grammatical errors were my weak points so it made the test really difficult. In fact that was the first test I have ever taken that gave me a head ache. Later on, I found out that I had to live with my aunts for 8 weeks because the program is 8:30 - 1:00.

The program also cost a lot of money so I am expected to get a great boost in my SAT grades. However, I don't get it. SAT is a test that can get you into a good college but some colleges don't even look at it so why bother taking it. I also think that SAT is based on money too. Those that are rich and can afford sending their children to great SAT programs get the greater benefit. Those who don't might not be able to go to a good college because of their SAT score might just live a normal life. So the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer.

My summer is going to be one of the hardest summer I have ever gotten. I am going to be studying most of the time. I always picture myself as a young monk that goes up the mountain to only see a old sage and acquire his knowledge from him. I think this because I am going to be isolated from all my friends and I think when I do come back home from the SAT program my way of thinking will be so much more different. I will definitely change a lot over the summer. BUT if I don't get a better grade on my SAT exam I WILL be pissed. Wasting all that time, effort, and money just to only receive the same grade. I would be pissed for weeks.

Anyways I just came back from a track meet. I should be sleeping right now because these past weeks has hurt my body mentally and physically to much. I have two math projects, one French project, 3 parts to a history project, English assignments, 1 small chemistry project, and 2 days of track. I also had the 4.5 hour practice test on Sunday. I come home at 8 or 9 on track days and sleep around 3 every night. So you should know how sleepy I am. I also have to wake up early tomorrow...

Monthly Review Fast Food Nation

In the food educational book called Fast Food Nation talks about the history of how fast food got his name. The author, Eric Schlosser, tells the story of how fast food originated and evolved into what it is now. Fast food originated from small stands on the street that sold hot dogs and stuff. It went through many changes and had been impacted by many different cooperation. There were lots of rivaling fast food restaurants that were competing on the cheapest, tasteful, and convenient food.

1. What was the author's purpose(s) in writing this book, and how can you tell? How well was this purpose achieved?

Eric Schlosser's purpose of writing this book is to inform others about the history of fast food itself. Many of the new generation of kids never questioned fat food restaurants and thought they were always here to begin with. When in reality, it took years for the fast food restaurants to assemble the prefect process on how they cook the food.

Most kids now a days know that fast food is bad but do they really know why it is bad? Most of them don't. On top of that kids don't really care about their health until they are older because when you are young you can burn the food at a faster rate. But if eating fast food becomes a habit, when they get older they will suffer the consequence.

Eric also wanted the public to know all of the bad things that fast food companies do just to get their money. The company mangers manges the company and yet they are the ones deciding what should go on what type of food. They are not cooks and they are making food for the public according to the price range they want. He also wanted people to know about the history of fast food because most of the people don't really know about it. He wants to let them know how fast food changed into what it is now and how it has caused a dramatic change into society even though its just restaurants.

I think that this books' job was achieved. He wanted to let everyone know about all the dangerous things that an happen. He also wanted everyone to know the real truth and secrets behind fast food. In fact a movie was made solely based on this book itself. The movie was shown to many people and Eric fulfilled his duties to shed some light to the younger kids that don't know much about fast food.

2. For what audience(s) is this book intended, and how can you tell? (In other words, for whom would you recommend this book?)

I think that this book is mostly towards younger readers and some adults because most of the adults know and the harmful things that can come with fast food. I think that is was towards teens because they are the ones that don't know anything about fast food and yet they eat it the most too. Before I read this book the only things I knew from fast food is that it is unhealthy and it is fat for you. That is basically all the adults told me. However none of these things mattered to me because I would usually burn of the energy really quick.

I can tell that the book is towards the teenage group because it is full of fun facts that relates to things we see everyday such as McDonald, Burger King, and Walt Disney Pictures. The teenage group knows all if not most of these fast food companies. Walt Disney is not a fast food company but it has worked and made contracts with McDonald before. I think the teenage group would most definitely like it because it is an eye opener to things that were never questioned.

I also learned many facts and things that happened during the age when fast food was evolving and competing with one another. The blueprint for making such a successful cooking system was also turned into to be made for factories. I think that the things that fast food affected during this age was very interesting and I think that other teens like me would enjoy it too.

4. How would you describe the author's style of writing? What's your opinion of the style?

I think that the author's writing style is very clear. When he talks about the history of fast food and you really relate to how things were back then. He also paints a picture in your head about things like "What Ifs". He does a really good job condensing the job and still make the literature flow as you read it. Even though most of the was information he still has short stories to go along with it. I thought that was a good thing to put in his book because if he were to just cramp us all with just information the book would be very boring. He also keeps the readers interested with what happened after this event and such and such.

I also thought that his writing style is great for long termed stories because in the beginning of the story he traced it all the way back to the first fast food restaurant and in the end he talks about the fast food nation now. He displays a good sense of time in his book. He also relates other outside problems into his book. He talks about WW2, Walt Disney, and other companies who used the blue print for using employees to the best way possible. Eric also uses real life stories to his story so it makes the reader feel like the problems are real and can happen to anyone. I also like how he talks about other things that is sort of relating towards fast food things. He talks about other things like food somethings. Not fast food but regular food. He also tells about employee's harsh working conditions and how many people are dying or have lost body parts while doing this certain job like the slaughter house for any example.

Fast Food Nation Reading Part Two

Fries is a main part of the fast food culture. But not many people actually know about it. To me fries do not taste that good. However back in the 1960s fries were greatly appreciated. It was only benefiting the fast food companies because the French fries that they were selling were frozen. These French fries were made by a man named John Richard Simplot. What he developed was the same exact flavor for French fries except it was frozen making it able to be sold at different places. Fast food companies saved a lot of money selling these cheaper fries that taste relatively the same. All the fast food companies started competing on which has to cheapest and best tasting fries after that. Now McDonald is not the only one serving frozen fries.

Meat in the fast food companies were also very bad. An example is the McDonald McNugget. It is the breaded chicken breast. These were VERY bad for you because it was cooked in beef oil and the chicken that produced those breast were genetically enhanced. What they did to the chicken was enhance them with chemicals that made them lay more eggs. After being to old to lay anymore eggs the enhance their breast and then use them for McNuggets.

Slaughter houses were also created for efficiency of killing cows and extracting the meat from it. However that is a dangerous job. Killing the cows was just not bad enough and now the working conditions are even worse. They have to work in freezing temperature to keep the meat as fresh as possible. All of the employees were also not getting enough health care and treatment. When they injury or lose a body part they receive money and that's it. It is also relatively not that much at that time too. Their hourly wage is also one third the average amount a normal employee. Many of the slaughter house workers had a family to support and if they get injured they would still have to go to work. The doctors at the factory does not care and all they would say is "it is a pulled muscle". When in fact it is something much worse.

Some things frighten me even more that is know that you don't know what is exactly in your meat patties or whatever you are eating. There are many cases where someone got sick of eating meat and to later find out that it was infected with some kind of disease.

School And Sports

So this is kind of late and I don't know if I still get credit but it still do this anyways.

So I have been going to track for about one and half months already. I have been getting really sore from it. But I really do like running. It is just that rarely anyone runs it with me now. What I'm trying to say is everything is falling apart in the track team. If you look at other schools their track team is so committed. But in our school most of the people go once a week now. It really pisses me off when I see people like that on the track team. In fact, my friend is rarely going now because he complains that it is boring. Well if nobody goes it gets boring. Last year was really fun when everyone would go everyday just talk, run, and hang out. Now it is just run and go home. There's no fun time in between.

On top of that our coach has also become more light on track members. He used to make us do nearly impossible work outs and no it is a piece of cake. I think it is because of the fact that most of them are freshmens and they aren't as good as the seniors last year. We also don't have that much seniors and juniors this year too. There is about 60 people left on the sprint team and around 30 thru 35 show up for practice on average and 20 of them are freshmens. I have to admit it is really boring with out the upper classmens. Last year on the track team everyone was in one huge group and now its all in separate smaller groups. Sometimes I wished I joined a different sport like badminton or something. That sounds really fun to play. But I can't really do that now because I'm already in varsity and I have to be in the 4 by 4 next year. I really hope more people would join track and everyone just mingle so that everyone would know each other more.

In fact, it has been one and a half months and I still don't know some people names. This is really sad because last year every body knew each other. This year for track wasn't as great but I'm still satisfied that I am getting a lot faster. However, I have more problems like sores and what not. Track consumes a lot of my time too. Since I'm in varsity I have to run the late practice which from 5 to 7 or so. Leaving me very little time to do anything else. I always tell myself I would do it from the time between I get off of school and start practice which is a good 2 hours or so but I never do it. This leaves me with very little time and makes me stay up very late. I don't mind it but my parents say that I don't get enough sleep. I sleep around 12 or 1 everyday so that's around a little over 6 hours of sleep every night. I think the average person SHOULD get is 10 right? So I'm ONLY 4 hours off. Sarcasm.

School has also been a pain in the ass. It's that time of year again. Near the end. All there is left is testing, testing, and testing. What am I doing tomorrow? Testing. The day after that? Testing. It really sucks. I'm not a junior or a senior so there's no special party for us. The year is almost over. I can't believe it. I also still have to find a summer school to go to. Panic mode is turned on. I really want to go to a summer school that I can actually learn from and I also want to find a part time job to have my own spending money. My family is really Asian and they don't believe in allowances. So what I get is what I can spend EXCEPT the first pay check because apparently it HAS to go to my parents. I don't know why and I don't want to question them because they will give me a long list of money used on me. Right now it is 1:45 AM and it is a Sunday so that means I have school tomorrow. I should really get some sleep. Chow!

Fast Food Nation Reading Part One ( Arghhh Way To Much Information )

Fast Food Nation a book written by Eric Schlosser tells the true story about fast food, from where it originated to what's in the food. The book tells about how fast food originated. Fast food came from street stands that were selling hot dogs, hamburgers and soda. The trend started in Los Angeles. Those stands started expanding and started to buys lands for restaurants. However it did not stop there. Restaurants back then had to be sat down using fork and knives. So the restaurants made a even quicker service having carhop where the people would just order and eat in their cars. They also invited the Drive- Thru speeding it even more. However McDonald found the most efficient way to serve burgers and that was to change the system that would not require Waitress, Dishes, Bus Boys, and Car Hops. They also wiped out the fork and the knife making everything into burgers. To add onto the speed they changed their equipment so that it only requires one person to do one task making the food much faster like a factory. Fast food restaurants were not the only ones who used this system through building things such as a burger. Many other company followed this method for the efficiency. Soon after that more and more branches went to other states and countries making it into a large corporations.

Not long after that Walt Disney made their first appearance. Disney made many movies and films that attracted kids and they were going to make a Disneyland. McDonald and Disney combined together to make Disneyland a place for kids. Kids could enjoy bring on the happiest place on Earth with the "happy meal" from McDonald too. This also made Disney company bloom quickly. To make more people eat at a fast food chain the food cost was decreased and during the time after the World War II it left a depression so cheap food was liked. Most fast food has practically made kids their only targets for their food because they get attracted the most. After many companies started noticing this other companies tried to copy it such as cigarette companies. They have gone so far to practically bribe kids to get good grades to get fast food. McDonald also made a playground just for kids.

There are also something Fast Food Chains aren't telling their customers like how they make their food. Everything is pre-made and gets shipped to the restaurant and from there they just heat it up. Everything is frozen and all the drinks come in a syrup. Taco Bell is even worse all they do is just add hot water to everything and put it all together. Teenagers are also working at these places for around 7 hours being over worked. Everything is made from the lowest amount of price making the food not as healthy. Fast food mangers that manage the money are not cooks so they do not know the price of food and in their eyes is the money instead of the final product itself. Teenagers are also getting hurt more than adult employees.

Not to mention the fact that fast food is becoming unhealthier and unhealthier. The creators of new burgers are making them solely through its price range instead of how it taste. For an example KFC released a new product the other day called the Double Down. It consist of a chicken patty, cheese, bacon, cheese again, and then another chicken patty. No buns at all. It sounds really good but when I tried it, it tasted horrible. No mention how bad it is for you. This is why makers of fast food products are business men and NOT COOKS.

Fourth Quarter Goals

I have seventy-five cents and almost to a dollar. The last quarter is always the funnest and the hardest. It has almost been a full school year. Looking back at it, it seem like I didn't accomplish as much as I would have wanted. But then again you don't notice what you have learned as time passes. Sophomore year has gone by really quickly and there are a few things I really want to improve on. One thing I would love to improve on is my writing. All my life my writing has not been my strong point and I don't think it will ever be. But I can actually feel myself becoming better.

Blogging has truly changed my life. I also use tumblr now so I just blog about random things that go on in my life and I usually end up writing three hundred or so words each time. When I first started blogging I wanted to only stick to one topic but now I like to free write and express what happens in my current life. My current life sometimes gets boring but blogging can save all those memories of what happen whether it is good or bad. What I want to do is keep blogging until the end of high school and just look back at all the things I have written and reminisce my high school life. I definitely will continue blogging but on tumblr because it seems a lot more organized. ( No offense Blogger ).

It seems like I am addicted to blogging now. Even if I do have a lot of homework and it seems like I don't have enough time I always take a break and just blog about my day. Something this simple can add on. Blogging 300 or so words a day seems like a big jump because in the beginning of the school year, my thoughts on blogging every week was just homework homework homework. Blogging is actually fun if you get use to it. It's sort of a routine and habit now to blog. One thing I would love to do but never do is reread them after I write them. I usually just write the blog and post it until a few months later I read all of them and discover all of the grammatical errors.

Next year I will be taking all these hard class such as AP calculus and APES and it WILL require a lot of time. Making it harder for me to blog about random things. There's also one really important thing I want to do. FINISH my blog before a Friday instead of leaving it to the last minute.( Like right now. ) This has a been a really bad habit for me because in tumblr no one really cares when I post another article so I do it whenever I have spare time. So my goal until the end of the year is to post my posts before Friday. I would also make my post seem like I'm actually talking to the readers because some of my post seems like I'm writing it for a teacher even though I really am. Lets see how those goals will works out!

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time Review

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time by Mark Haddon talks about a boy, named Christopher Boone, who goes on an adventure finding who killed his neighbor's dog. But little did he know it ties in with some secrets about his parents and friends.

2. For what audience(s) is this book intended, and how can you tell? (In other words, for whom would you recommend this book?)

I think that this book was written for young adult readers that are looking for more of a adventurous and detective story. The story has a plot with in the plot. Christopher finds that someone has killed his neighbors dogs. That ties in with other things that ties in with another things. So once Christopher finds out one thing the domino all fall and he finds the truth about everything.

I can tell that this book is for young adult readers because it has some imagination in it and it also contain curse words. There are also affairs and all those are stuff that are inappropriate to younger readers. There are also some violence in between making it a story that shouldn't be for kids.

3. What are the weaknesses of this book, in your opinion?

I think that this book was confusing in many ways because every other chapter it was talking about something else. The main story is actually much shorter than it really is. The side story that was told every other chapter was about Christopher's lifestyle and his personality. Its not that is it bad it is that its not as important than the actual book and story line itself.

The book itself was some what repetitive because that would explain how Christopher can't talk to people in some ways and say certain things and as you read on the next chapter it would say the same thing but rephrased. One things I really didn't like about the story was how it was separated into the section it was because every other chapter that wasn't talking about the main story had nothing to do with the story itself. The other so called side story was sort of a filler. It only talked about Christopher's personality. I mean it is good that the author is doing that but the author did that throughout the book. Sometimes the author would talk about Sherlock Homes and how Christopher idolizes him.

However the book is no all bad there are some unique difference in this book that other books many ways. The main character Christopher has a goal like to write his own book about his investigation and the author explains in fine detail about his personality. I thought that the author did an excellent job on that and Christopher also ways referred to Sherlock Homes which was basically his idol. Christopher's life is also not that complex to understand in his point of view because he has only a few things in mind throughout the whole entire book. One is to finish his investigation on who killed his neighbor's dog and two is to go into Math A level.

8. Pick a character that interested you and write about them in depth.

Christopher Boone. He is the main character in this story. He finds out that someone has killed his neighbors dog. So he decides to go on an adventure finding out who killed him. He is rather strange because he sets his mood depending on cars. Five red cars equal to a "super good day" and black cars equal to "bad days". On the good days h usually finds out clues because he wants to write about the killer and he is the detective. He also idolizes Sherlock Homes because he is a smart man and a really good detective. However he is different because he looks at large pieces of information and Sherlock looks at one thing to deduce a lot of things.

Christopher also never tells lies but he tells white lies to get pass things he shouldn't do but wants to do. He also doesn't like people touching him without permission. Another critical thing about Christopher is that in the beginning of the story he ALWAYS listens to the rule but by the end of the story he is much more independent and can think for himself more. He is also a lot more courageous because he went all the way to London to see this mom by himself at such a young age and his father set a bad example for him thus making him confuse. At one point in the story he has to do something even if it is wrong so he is rebelling against what is use to believe in like his father. He develop his own mind set to do what ever he need to be finished like finding his mother.

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night - Time Part Three

Dear Linde,

Hello I have now finished the book "The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time". Christopher is on the train going to his mother's house. He has a great adventure finding it and he is reunited with her. She later on tells him to stay but he doesn't want to because he wants to go back home and take the grade A level math.

This father later on gives Christopher a puppy as a gift as an apology. Christopher's mother and Mr. Shears broke up and his mother is always depressed. I think that this was aright because it was kind of confusing in the beginning. He also mixed the chapters with everything other ones making is very different. If your boil down to the part where it is only talking about the story line the book is much shorter than it is.

Christopher also has a hard time finding his way to his mother's house because there are so many things he couldn't do and things he didn't want to do. He later conquers his fear from the things he doesn't like to do to the things he has to do because he has no other choice. He was also very scared of the police. But they are one of the reasons why he was able to get to his mother's house. So in the end he was able to take math A and get a A grade.

Track Vs. Life

Track is something I love to do. The enjoyment of it is outrageous. However, lately because of track I don't have enough time to do any of the other stuff I do. Which is like homework, chores, and sleep. In fact I have a track meet tomorrow at 10 and I have to wake up at 6. My time schedule is not big enough for track. Track is five times a day from three through five or six. For the special varsity runners it is five to seven.

My normal schedule with out track is wake up go to school, get out of school, and then straight home and repeat. So during track season it squeezes my time even more. Track is said to be one of "easy" sport. I think that is some kind of joke. I hear a lot of people say "oh I can do that too". It is when we actually do the hard stuff people DON'T want to be in track. In fact I am injured because of track right now.

Another great impact that track has have on my life is grades. Oh man where to start? At the starting line Ha Ha Track joke. Anyways, my grades has definitely dropped because of track. I am not studying as much as I have wanted to. Every time I go to sleep I tell myself that I would go to the media center to do extra work but that never happens. I also have to sacrifice my weekends sometimes for track meets and practices.

Track is hard on the body, soul, and mind but there are some good things about it. Some good things are meeting people and racing people. I also loved running against fast people. The thrill of it is unexplainable. I also love the feeling you get when your in zone. Where you block out all other sounds you just focus. Last but not least the track COACH. He is one of the funniest guys I have ever met. He is just so cool with everything. Occasionally he gets mad but it is mostly our fault.

Overall track is a good thing. It has kept me occupied so I'm not always bored of having the same old routine. It's nice to have a change once in a while. I also love all the end of the year parties too. Okay I should sleep now wish me luck!

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night - Time Part Two

Dear Linde,

The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night Time has gone to to the climax of the story. Christopher has found all the letters that his dad has been hiding from him. The letters that his dad was hiding from him was the letters that his mom wrote to him. Yes Christopher's mother is still alive. Christopher also finds out that his dad was the one who killed Wellington which is the dog. The reason why was because Mr.Shears and his mom had an affair. So both of them left and went to London. Christopher's dad took away his book thus making Christopher search in his room coming across the letters.

So Christopher is in a position where he can not trust his father and he makes a break for it and leave. He talks to Mrs.Alexander for advice and to see he if she can take care of his pet rat. He later on goes on his own adventure to find his mother for protection.

I think that this story has finally hit the climax. The only thing I don't get about this story is the face that every other chapter it talks about something very irrelevant. A question that bothered me was where did his dad go after he couldn't find Christopher that was hiding in the shed. Another thing was why did he kill the dog? The dog was said to be more important than him but I think that there is another part to it because title itself is suppose to be based off the dog.

Internet and Kids

Internet. If I didn't have the internet I would bored as can be. Internet is the connection to the world. But has internet now lose some of his purpose and now there are more cons than pros. You can say Internet is a good thing for society but there are lots of bad things about it too. I personally think that the internet is the fall to my grades. If there was no internet I would be so much smarter. However, internet is a tool.

I think that these past few years where I have been expose to the computer and internet more frequently my grades were dropping. When I was little I used to use to the internet for researching purposes and now I mainly go on to check social networking sites. I think that the use of internet back then and now has changed.

Little kids are affected by this too. When they go online and check websites or play games, they are exposed to violent content. Sites such as Youtube may contain curse words and violent acts. These things influence the children making the kids seem like its okay to say those things. I have noticed that some kids are getting more and more stuck up. They have lack of manners and they are cursing a lot more than when we were their ages.

For an example I have a friend who is around 8 or so and he already knows all of the curse words and he says them whenever he feels like it. I didn't even know ANY of the curse words until I got to middle school. He has a lot of internet influence too. He watches things on Youtube and acts some of it out because he thinks it is "cool". So I was at his house and he was doing something really bad that he thought was "cool" and I said that it wasn't cool. In the blink of an eye he stopped doing this. Its mostly the internet fault that he gets bad influence from and most of it are from teens who are actually really bad. So he is following what everyone else is doing. Internet is practically brainwashing kids. Well not internet itself but the content it contains.

While I am sort of on the subject of kids. I want to add in the fact that most middle schoolers are making bad decisions because of friends. I think that if one kid thinks that a certain thing is "cool" other people will join. Another example is one of my friends. Please note that this friend is the older brother to the one 8 year old one which I was talking about moments ago. My friend is 13 and in middle school. He is about to attend Alameda High so he came to me for advice about taking which class. He is a rather smart student and always getting good grades. He asked he if u could take all these easy classes. I was confused because I know he could have done better and his response was "Oh, my friend said these classes are easy up on the top." So apparently all of his friends are taking the same classes just so they can be together. The chances are of getting the same class with them is really really slim. So just you wait Mr.Sutherland. You might have a lot of cocky students in your class.

Another thing that I thought was REALLY weird was freshmens talking to seniors as if they were equal. I mean like they are equal but some freshmens think they are really good. So of the kids don't have as much respect for older people anymore. It is something I can't really explain.

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night - Time Part One

Dear Lit-Circle Member which is only Linde,

"the curious incident of the dog in the night-time" is one of strangest books I have ever read. The story tells about a little boy named Christopher John Francis Boone. He discovers one day that someone killed his neighbor's dog. He is a rather clever and observant. I thought that story had a interesting plot to it because it was more of a detective based story line. What I thought was weird about this book was the fact that the chapters are all prime numbers. I don't yet if it has anything to do with the story line but I think it is some what important because Christopher memorized all the prime numbers.

Christopher's personality is very strange because he is the innocent type where we usually always follows directions if not he would bend the rules a bit to his liking. Christopher is trying to find the murder of his neighbor's dog and this might also tie in with the fact that his mom died. Christopher is also going around asking people and his current suspect is Mr.Shears. Mr.Shears is his suspect because he was married to Mrs.Shears at one point and to make her made he might have killed Wellington, her dog. For some reason Christopher's dad seems to be always mad when Christopher tries to uncover the secret. I think that there is a relationship between him and Mrs.Shears and possibly Mr.Shear because he used to be married to her.

Something I really didn't like about this book was how it was formatted. Every other chapter it goes back into the story line but if it is not on the story line it talks about Christopher's personality and his Mom. I think that there will be a part where the author, Mark Haddon, will tie the two stories together.
So what do you think about the two stories? Do you think they will come together?

Manga and Anime

Manga is a type of book read from right to left. It was originally created from the Japanese. It is usually for young readers that want to read a long series. Manga in Japan is equivalent to Comics is America except for the fact that manga is much more popular. I have been reading manga since I was a child. Some of my favorite manga series is Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. All these mangas have been up and updated for 3 years already! I have been caught up with it and they release new chapters every Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Naruto is a story about ninjas and how there are different countries. They also do different types of techniques and stuff like that. One Piece is about pirates and how they want to acquire treasures and become the strongest pirate ever. Bleach is a story about Death Gods and how they save Earth from Hallows.

Manga is also a very good source of money making because it not only made into a book. It is also created into and anime. Anime is also very popular in Japan. Many of the popular mangas gets turned into anime. Anime is sort of like cartoons but it has a Japanese art style in it.

Mangas and Anime has been very appeal towards other countries too. For an example Pokemon was originated from Japan. Look how popular that show got. In fact it is still going and it made so much money from cards, movies, TV, and games. Pokemon was actually called Pocket Monsters. Anyways, shows like that makes Hundreds if not millions of dollars. Although many people still don't know about it ans still call it comic or cartoon it has impact my life a lot and had much influence towards me.

Deciding A Fate Momoir Project

A time where I had to choose in what I believed in was when I went to Church. When I was little I went to Church every Saturday and Sunday. This made me very Christian. However, what really changed and disturbed my mind was the fact that my parents weren’t Christian. I didn’t know why but my parents were Buddhist and they want their sons to be Christians. If you really think about it, it is very strange. When I was in Church we would pray before we eat but when I am having dinner with my family I didn’t. Going to Church was great but in my mind I couldn’t decide whether I was a Buddhist or a Christian. This all happened when I was a child, about five years ago. I went to Church until I was around eight.

Now in those three years going to Church impacted me a lot. I know definitely that I was a Christian at that time. But the reason for me quitting Church was because I had moved to Alameda. Going to Church on Sundays and Saturday was nearly impossible. So I quit for about 4 years or so until I got to 7th grade. I started going again because it wasn’t really Church but it was. It was a youth group. I went on Friday nights. I saw the same people there when I was little. Not going to Church really changes you. The way I thought was completely different from others. Their personalities were much calmer and I really that. So then I went to the youth group for about a year, everyday on Friday nights. Occasionally there were parties and all those good stuff.

After those two years, I quit again when I got into High School. I stopped going because of all the school work. It really makes me wonder if I am still a Christian and what would have happened if I had stayed in Church my whole life. It also makes me wonder why I went to Church in the first place. My parents aren’t Christians. I really think that if I had stayed I would have become much different from what I am now. I probably would not have sworn all the time. I would have become less violent. On top of that I would know what belief I really am. Lately I have been stuck between in Christianity and Buddhism. They all mean the same thing. Like respect and honoring people. I really think I am Christian but I haven’t absorbed enough to be a full Christian.

I only believe in Christianity so far until the point where I start contradicting myself. What is real religion? Things like theory and evolution just makes me stand in the middle. I can’t decide on anything. For an example, I have an Asian family and my parents believe in praying the sky and all the gods. In fact when they pray to their god so do I. Chinese New Year is coming up and a lot of ritual should be preformed. I don’t know the real meaning but I still do it. This is same for all religion. You do some type of ritual whether it is praying or giving blessing. You can always ask why? Why must we do a certain thing? Why must we follow what other people are doing?

Another thing that really bothers me is when people say they are a full type of a religion when deep down inside they might not know anything about it. I know for sure that I am not Christian and Buddhist. So what am I? I think that people like me should actually think twice and reconsider what you believe in and what you don’t. Also reconsider what you use to believe in and what you don’t. Reconsider what you are force to believe in. And most importantly reconsider what you really are.

My Four Weekend

My weekend kicked off with a movie at my friend's house. There was about seven people and we had a crazy time. That was the only thing I did that day. I also had a lot of homework to do. Chinese New Year was on Sunday. My family and I went out for tea. My dad said we have to drink tea and eat dim sum on the first day of Chinese New Year. I also get lots of Red Envelopes.

Chinese New Years also comes with lots of cleaning. So I had to clean every spot in the house. Chinese New Years is practically the equivalent of Spring Cleaning. So cleaning every inch of the house was really tiring. Chinese New Year also has lots of other traditions such as giving praise to religion and all the Gods. I don't know why I do it but my parent said it's for luck.

Praying is something I really don't really get. We have to pray at certain days of certain times and use specify things to pray with. In the of praying we also have to burn stuff for the dead. I really don't see why we have to but I was just told to do these things since I was little and so were my parents. My parents also believe in Fong-Sway. Which is Wind-Water. It is basically super sedition. All of that includes things like not washing you hair on Chinese New Years because it will wash away your luck. And sweeping the floor because of sweeping away your luck. There are more than hundreds of things and I have basically follow all those "rules".

Ready Set Go

Track season just started this Monday. I can't wait until I start running. I couldn't run on Monday because I didn't turn in all my forms. I got all my forms done and all I need to do it turn it all in. There's also a new policy where we have to pay a lot more for track this year. There are also new track uniforms so I am really looking forward to it. One thing that has been really disturbing me is the freshmens. All the freshmens this year seem to act very differently. What I think is that they are really full of them selves. Some of the freshmens don't really know what respect is and they all brag about how they are so good.

For an example, there is this one freshmen in my French class that said that he is faster than me. When in reality I'm actually faster. The thing is he won't stop bragging about how good he when he isn't. It sort of annoys me. Another REALLY annoying thing is when people say that they can do track. This is a very big one. Practically everyone said that they can do track and track is easy. People that are in basketball, football, and more says that its easy. It is as if we are looked down upon. People think that track is a easy sport. It really annoys me because not everyone can run track. Well everyone can because the coach doesn't cut.

Not everyone is talented in running and people just say that track is a weak sport. So anyways. Track season is about to start and I really hope all the freshmens that don't care about track and think that it is a easy sport would leave. Because that generally happens every year. When the season starts and we are two weeks into it all of the people that think that way will quit. Only the people that want to work hard will stay for the real challenge.

My Day February 4, 2010

Today was really tiring. I really dislike math. Where’s that dislike button? Anyways stuff are just getting harder and harder. I mean the class is great and all but I think it's a bit to hard. I’m going to do my best and just try to pass the class and go into regular Calculus. God knows what grade I will get. Anyways. Our P.E. wasn’t suppose to go bowling today because our teacher wasn’t there but then we went anyways because of the substitute. It was actually really boring and I didn’t feel like bowling today.

I finally got my physical done. All that is left is turning it in. I went to track today. There are only five or so Freshmens there. I can’t wait until track season starts. So juiced cause France and Andrew are joining. But it is going to also suck with out Alvin and Laura. Not to mention all the Seniors from last year. I only saw one Freshmen that was some what fast. I think he is faster than me actually. It's nice to have fast people on the team. Now if only we had a better field. Today I saw this guy doing track conditioning and I swear to God his hair looked exactly like Inoue Joe. Inoue Joe is a famous Japanese singer. I’m not lying. Oh yeah this one Freshmen kinda mad me mad because she stopped doing the drills and stuff just to talk to other people. Sigh.

Anyways after track. Me, France, Ricky, Shuan, Alvin, Andrew, Johnson, and Ian played some basketball. I got really sore afterward. Oh and Raymond joined in a while later. So that’s pretty much it.

I need to start focusing like crazy. My grades are dropping so much…At least that’s what I think. Do you ever get that feeling where you are failing? But in reality you have like a "B" or something. When you think about it, it isn’t that bad. Anyways I know for sure I’m not getting math. I should study more. Like without the computer on or something. Tomorrow I’m going to "TRY" and not go on. Fighting!

Games

Today in class we talked about how games can affect some people emotionally. I think that this is very true and some people take gaming to much like playing it nonstop. Gamers can get so addicted they almost lose control of themselves playing the game. Some people tell them selves not to play but in the end they end up playing anyways. I think originally games were made to take the stress off of people but now people can make money from it. For an example World of Warcraft players can sell their accounts for high prices.
Video game designers are only creating games to gather attention and players. But now I think that they have gone to a whole new level where people are getting emotions from the actual game itself. Thus the video game addicts are born. They are the people that should really take a break from games and unplug. I'm not saying that gamers are bad I just believe that they are people that are unfortunate that that they are addicted to games. I mean no one wants to be addicted to anything. Unless there is really something strange about you.
I use to be a hard core gamer myself until I finally quit. When you are addicted to games it is very hard quitting. I took me at least 6 months for me to let go of a game called Maplestory. Of course I still play games once in a while I still have troubles after I get into it. I think that if you don't really put 100% of your attention to the game it will not take control of you. This is very much like gambling. Once in a while you can play it for fun but once you have an addiction you can hold back and your just keep doing it.

Final-Li

6. In what way(s) have you surprised yourself this semester on your blog? Have you tried topics you didn't think you'd write about? Approached a familiar topic from an unfamiliar angle? Discovered more "depth" to a topic than you first thought was possible? Explain.

I surprised myself by blogging about random things. When I first started, I decided to blog about the environment and healthy foods. I thought that I knew a good amount of stuff related to the environment to keep me blogging for a while. But after the first month or so, I started to run out of ideas. So I decided to change my topic to technology and new inventions. Those two topics went really well until I ran into the same problem. I ran out of things to say and I had to change my topic again. I did not except myself to be stuck twice in row. So in the end I couldn't stay on the subject I planned to. Instead I jumped around and tried a little of everything.
I tried to a lot of other subjects that I wouldn't have thought I would have put into my blog. For an example I told myself that I wouldn't use any of the Quick Writes because a lot of other people were doing the same thing and I wanted to do something different. Then I changed my mind and posted a post talking about Multitasking. I posted that because I felt that it affects my life a lot too.
Then later on into the year I changed my topic again to things that happen to me. These topics includes things such as track, bad things that happen to me, and stereotypes. I did not think that I would go way off subject to things about my life. In the beginning I started off with the environment and then somehow I ended up talking about my own life.

7. What have you learned from your struggles with writer's block? Why do you tend to get stuck? How do you tend to get unstuck? Notice any patterns?

I have learned that you have to keep your options open when writing so you don't run into writer's block. In the beginning I tried to only focus into two main subjects. After a month I ran out of ideas so I had to switch. That happen to me twice until I finally gave up and just blogged about things that interest me. When I absolutely have nothing to write about I talk about random things such as my day.
I think the main reason why I get stuck sometimes is because I feel very repetitive when I talk about the same subject over and over again. So in the end I force myself to write about something else. I don't know if its a good thing or not but it has helped me get unstuck. Another way I usually get unstuck is to start typing about anything. I usually type for ten minutes and then I delete most of it and by that time I have thought of something really good to write about.
I noticed that you have to keep your opinions open so that you won't get stuck. Since we have one week to do the blog post, I usually brainstorm and write a little each day. By Friday if I really don't like something I can always change it because I have been thinking about the blog everyday.

8. How do you like having a blog? How has blogging changed the way you write, the way you think, or the way you think about writing?

I like having a blog because I can talk about things that has occurred in my life. I also like rant about technology and how somethings are overpriced. Bogging has now changed how I write because when I first started it felt like it was just homework and now its more like a hobby. In fact I have another special blog that I write on talking about my day. Its more of a diary and I rate the day from one to ten. So blogging now has opened up a wide range of topic I can write about. I don't have to focus and only talk about the thing I have planned to. So it is okay to go off topic as long as you write about something you like.
Blogging has influenced me to write more diverse things. I always thought that there is only one way to write but when more topics are introduced there is actually no wrong way to write. Now blogging has made me want to blog more often. Whether it is about my day or really important things that happen.

10. Where do you get your ideas for blog post topics? What inspires you to write?

I got my ideas from hearing from others and reading articles but most of the posts are my opinions. Some of them also include what I did and what has happen to be before. One blog in particular is the Quick Write that we did in class. The Quick Write is on Multitasking. I did not plan to put this on my blog however I did because I agree with it. I think multitasking is true and it can destroy you or help you in many ways.
What inspires me to write is the thought of looking back at all the post and begin to see improvement in my writing. What I usually do is just write and I throw my writing away but by blogging I get to keep my writing and I have the opportunity to look back at it. When I look back at my writing I might not agree with all of it and I might have lots of grammatical errors. At least I can see the growth and improvement in my writing. Another inspiration that makes me want to write more is seeing other people blogging or vlogging about their day. I thought that is kind of cool being able to write about your day and improve your writing skills. I can also express what I feel on the days and remember what had happen.

Writing Groups

I think having Writing Groups will be an improvement to our writing.
Discussing our writing with one another would goo nice.
I think that passing around our work and having more eyes on it is better.
I think we should also connect through blogging so we can actually edit each other work.
I think we don't necessarily have to keep everything positive.
We can have some negative constructive comments.
I think that if people don't want to talk about a certain subject then I think we should avoid it from privacy reasons.
I also think that people should contribute at least one comment about a piece of writing and it can't just be "very good".
They have to say what they liked about the writing and what they disliked.

Multitasking

Multitasking is a major fault that I have. In class today we were talking about multitasking versus focusing on one thing only. Personally I think that multitasking is a bad thing but if you think about it we are doing it everyday. I think that there are two different types of multitasking. One that is completely harmless to you and other is the one where you do too much things and you can't focus when you want to. Things like the internet, texting, and TV are all things that make u not able to focus. Sometime music is too. For an example, when I was little and I didn't know how to use the internet I focused on my school work more. But now since I've grown up, its become a habit where I am constantly on the computer checking this and that making me unable to focus. This caused me to do longer periods of homework and in the end I might not even understand it.

I think for people to beat the "bad" multitasking is to focus more and gradually lessen the task that you have to do until you are focusing on one thing you want to do. The "good" multitasking is very different than the bad one because it is something we are always constantly doing such as listening to music and walking. I think that the "good" multitasking is a good skill to master because when you grow older more tasks ahead of you so it would nice if you knew how to juggle all of those things. It also great for working too. Things would be done a lesser rate. In conclusion, I think that people should learn what is good multitasking and bad so they know how to spend their time wisely instead of sitting their doing stuff way longer than expected.
