Dear Linde,
The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night Time has gone to to the climax of the story. Christopher has found all the letters that his dad has been hiding from him. The letters that his dad was hiding from him was the letters that his mom wrote to him. Yes Christopher's mother is still alive. Christopher also finds out that his dad was the one who killed Wellington which is the dog. The reason why was because Mr.Shears and his mom had an affair. So both of them left and went to London. Christopher's dad took away his book thus making Christopher search in his room coming across the letters.
So Christopher is in a position where he can not trust his father and he makes a break for it and leave. He talks to Mrs.Alexander for advice and to see he if she can take care of his pet rat. He later on goes on his own adventure to find his mother for protection.
I think that this story has finally hit the climax. The only thing I don't get about this story is the face that every other chapter it talks about something very irrelevant. A question that bothered me was where did his dad go after he couldn't find Christopher that was hiding in the shed. Another thing was why did he kill the dog? The dog was said to be more important than him but I think that there is another part to it because title itself is suppose to be based off the dog.

The dog is totally irrelevant. The reason why the title is that is because the novel itself is supposed to be written by Christopher. He's merely imitating Sherlock Holmes as a detective and told himself that he would record everything. I'm pretty sure that was around the beginning when he found the dog.
ReplyDeleteThat's also why there's a lot of random crap. Since Christopher has autism, he pays attention to a lot of small things and analyzes them too.
Just remember, everything is in his perspective.
